Making music was always going to be what I was going to do with my life.  I grew up in a unique household surrounded by generations of professional musicians.  It was the family business.  At this point I’ve been playing professionally for more than half my life, mostly playing drums for local bands in clubs around New England, with the occasional van tour around the country.  I am currently on and off the road with rap artist Spose, Grammy award-winning songwriter Dave Gutter,  and folk-rock band The Wolff Sisters.

Playing live is awesome but if I’m being completely honest, I really love being in the studio.  It scratches a different creative itch.  I often found myself having a better time at band practice than on stage.  I just really love the process.  Talking through arrangements and getting to flesh out ideas until the artist and I carve out the best version of a song is extremely rewarding.  Over the past decade I have recorded a handful of full-length albums with Armies, Chris Ross and the North, and the Wolff Sisters.  I have also been lucky enough to have been part of some really interesting projects with brands like Apple, Nikon, LowePro, and Nature Valley,  a documentary film score with John Stirratt (Wilco, The Autumn Defense), and a variety of sessions large and small in between.
